Adhan
The call to prayer, iqamah and their etiquettes.

The adhan (adhān) is the call announcing prayer time. The iqamah is the call that the congregational prayer is about to begin. A mosque’s iqamah time may be later than the calculated start of the prayer time.
What do “hayya alas salah” and “hayya alal falah” mean?
حَيَّ عَلَىٰ ٱلصَّلَاةِ
Ḥayya ʿalaṣ-ṣalāh means “Come to prayer.” You may see it written as “hayya alas salah.”
حَيَّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْفَلَاحِ
Ḥayya ʿalal-falāḥ means “Come to success.” “Hayya alal falah” is another common English spelling. These are invitations in the call to prayer; transliteration spellings vary because Arabic sounds do not map exactly to English letters.
