Seeking forgiveness & peace

One transmitted practice after finishing the prayer is to seek forgiveness three times, then recite the supplication below.
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ
Astaghfirullah. — I ask Allah for forgiveness.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Allahumma antas-salamu wa minkas-salamu, tabarakta dhal-jalali wal-ikram.
Meaning: O Allah, You are Peace and peace comes from You. Blessed are You, Possessor of majesty and honor.
This remembrance follows the completed prayer; it is not an additional obligatory unit.
