A pattern of remembrance
Learning note · A sourced practice of remembrance, with transliteration and explanatory meaning.
One narration teaches thirty-three repetitions each of Subhan Allah (glory be to Allah), al-hamdu lillah (praise belongs to Allah), and Allahu akbar (Allah is greatest), completing one hundred with:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir.
Meaning: Allah alone is worthy of worship, without partner. Sovereignty and praise belong to Him, and He has power over all things.
This is one transmitted form. Other authentic patterns exist; this is not the only valid routine.
