Learn transmitted variety carefully

The Prophet ﷺ used different established openings, remembrances and supplications, and recited different passages of Qur’an. Appropriate variety can interrupt automatic recitation, renew attention and help you reflect on meanings that familiarity has concealed.

Memorize one sound wording accurately, understand it, and then learn another. Use authentic alternatives in their correct places, particularly in voluntary prayer. Do not combine unrelated texts into an invented formula or assume that every alternative is equally prescribed in every school.
