Sitting, testimony and blessings

Between prostrations, the short supplication asks your Lord for forgiveness and may be repeated. A longer transmitted form asks for forgiveness, mercy, wellbeing, guidance and provision. This expresses need in spiritual and worldly affairs.

The tashahhud offers greetings, prayers and good things to Allah, peace and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, peace upon us and righteous servants, and testimony to Allah’s oneness and Muhammad’s ﷺ servitude and messengerhood. Established wordings differ.

The Ibrahimic blessings ask Allah to honor and bless Muhammad and his family as He honored and blessed Ibrahim and his family, affirming that Allah is worthy of praise and glorious. Study the wording used by your school in the Prayer Studio.
