Jumu‘ah

Friday prayer includes a sermon and two obligatory units in congregation for those upon whom it is required. Conditions of obligation and validity differ across schools. Listen attentively and learn the local arrangements.

Eid

Eid prayer includes additional takbirs. Their number, placement, and legal classification differ by school. Follow the imam rather than trying to change the congregation’s pattern.

Janazah

The funeral prayer is performed standing and includes takbirs and supplications, without the usual bowing and prostrations. Learn the recitations and sequence with the school-specific instruction in your community.
