TAHAJJUD

From waking to prayer

On waking, remember Allah and seek forgiveness. Prophetic practice includes wiping sleep from the face, considering the sky and reciting the final ten verses of Al Imran (3:190–200). Their signs invite reflection on creation and the Creator.

Clean the mouth with miswak and perform wudu. Begin with two short rakʿahs, then pray further pairs as able. Night prayer is commonly offered two by two; learn the permitted forms and details in your school. Prepare a reliable Fajr time so voluntary worship does not run past it.

Encourage family members who wish to join this routine and respect their circumstances. Choose recitation you know, remain calm in each posture, and keep the heart directed to Allah rather than the clock or a target number.

REFLECT & PRACTICE

Choose one achievable change for your next night. Preserve the obligations and build consistency gradually.

Bring understanding into practice.
