Standing

Standing is an expression of attentive service and humility. Keep the body calm and attend to the recitation, remembering the greater standing of accountability before Allah.

Let outward composure follow inward devotion rather than become a display. Hand placement and gaze are taught according to your school. A person who must pray sitting or in another permitted manner can bring the same reverence to their prayer.
