Salam and what follows

The salam closes the prayer with a greeting of peace. Perform the prescribed closing according to your school, and let the return to those around you carry the restraint, mercy and humility you have sought in worship.

Afterwards, seek forgiveness rather than admire your achievement. Remember Allah with the established post-prayer adhkar, and reflect briefly on what helped you be present and what to improve.

Do not rush immediately into the same distractions when you can remain for remembrance. Acceptance is sought from Allah; a particular emotion or a self-awarded score cannot establish it. Let one teaching from this prayer shape your next action.
