Rising: a pillar of praise

Rise fully from bowing and give standing its stillness. Samiʿallahu liman hamidah invokes Allah’s response to the one who praises Him; Rabbana laka al-hamd offers that praise. Which words are said by an imam, follower or individual depends on the school.

Transmitted expansions offer abundant, good, blessed praise, or praise filling the heavens, earth and whatever Allah wills. Others acknowledge that no one can withhold what He gives, give what He withholds, or rely on wealth and status against Him. Let gratitude grow into contentment rather than envy.
