FOUNDATIONS
Finding comfort in Salah
The Prophet ﷺ found delight and comfort in prayer, and turned to it when distressed. Salah is an opportunity to converse privately with the Creator, praise Him, confess need and ask for help. Approach it as a gift you are entering rather than an interruption you must finish.
Sincere worship can leave the heart calmer, lighter and more willing to do good. Recall a prayer in which you felt close to Allah, then consider what supported it: preparation, meaningful recitation, quiet, repentance or unhurried prostration. Work on those causes rather than chasing the memory itself.
Sweetness may develop gradually. A difficult or distracted prayer is a reason to renew effort and sincerity, not to abandon Salah or declare yourself incapable of devotion.
Which idea can you carry into your next prayer? Choose one small change, then reflect on what it helped you notice.
